2018 Review and Christmas Message

In a slight move from tradition, this year in place of Christmas cards, we are making a donation to the charity MIND. MIND is one of a number of charities that we support, not necessarily just by way of donations, but by helping at events and providing financial education where required.

This year, we have been into Sheringham High School and Framlingham High School on their career days to provide students with a valuable insight into the world of financial planning. We have also donated various prizes to assist with fundraising activities in our local communities.

On a day to day basis, it’s been a very busy year for Brancaster House and we’re pleased to say that the business is continuing to grow and prosper. Earlier this year, we appointed Russell Beaumont, Mortgage & Equity Release Adviser to our Sheringham office and Connor Simpson Mortgage & Protection Adviser to our Norwich office. Both have been a great addition to the team, settling in very quickly and establishing themselves as experts in their respective fields.

This followed with further additions to our paraplanning, compliance and business development departments, and more recently in November, the appointment of Michael Chandler, an experienced Financial Planner, to further strengthen our advisory team.

We continue to invest in the development of the careers of our staff; Hannah Green successfully passed her Level 4 AAT qualification and was promoted from Trainee to Accounts Assistant.

Our Trainee Financial Planner, Shane Julian passed his R02 (Investment Principles and Risk) and R05 (Financial Protection) exams and is well on his way to becoming a fully qualified Financial Planner. We are expecting Shane to be Level 4 Qualified and taking on his own clients from Summer 2019.
Throughout this year, we have been developing a second office on Dereham Road in Norwich and in September also secured the lease to what will be a new office in Bury St Edmunds. Both of these offices will open in 2019… watch this space for more updates!

Finally, on behalf of the whole team here at Brancaster House, I would to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued custom and to wish you a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year. I have a feeling that 2019 will be another exciting year at Brancaster House and look forward to working with you.
